InstallFest

Linux Fest

The CARLUG Install Fest* will be Saturday January 31, 2009, 9am to 5pm at the Faulkner County Library, 1900 Tyler St., Conway, Arkansas. Electricity, network connections, linux installation CDs, and food will be provided. Special topics TBA. Map

An install fest is a gathering / special meeting / party --

  • Where we help folks get FOSS (Free Open Source Software) installed and running.
  • Where we share and discuss the latest free software.
  • Where we discuss topics of interest to enthusiasts.
  • Where we trade, and buy and sell used hardware.
  • Where we eat donuts and pizza and have a great time...

Door prizes through the day (must be present to win) --

  • Complete GNU/linux system, including CPU & monitor with Ubuntu installed
  • O'Reilly computer books
  • Accessories
  • Other items

What to bring --

  • Bring your computer if you need help installing or debugging
  • Bring $5 to register for door prizes
  • Bring a voluntary donation to defray cost of food
  • Bring your old and new hardware for trading or selling
  • Bring copies of your favorite distribution
